Event Overview
We invite you to join us for the second Chicago BioEngineering Conference (CBEC), featuring scientific talks across four focus areas: high-throughput omics, spatial and live tissue omics, bioelectronics, and AI x Bio. Our speaker lineup will highlight emerging areas of innovation across the bioengineering landscape, and the program will include several networking opportunities via breakout sessions, shared meals, and a poster session reception. The conference will be held at the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk in the heart of downtown Chicago.
Trainees are encouraged to submit abstracts for the poster session. Submissions are due by July 31, and notifications of acceptance will be sent by mid-August.
Space is limited. Given the strong response to our 2024 CBEC, early registration is encouraged. Priority will be given to registrants from academic institutions (faculty, staff, and trainees) and to those presenting a poster. A waitlist will be started once capacity is reached.
We look forward to bringing the bioengineering community together for a few days of great science and conversation.

Call for Abstracts
We invite abstract submissions for presentation at the networking poster session taking place on Thursday, September 17 at the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk. Abstracts must be 150 words or fewer and should clearly summarize the purpose, methods, key findings, and significance of the work.
Submissions are welcome from individuals affiliated with academic institutions (trainees, staff, and faculty) or industry research organizations.
Abstracts should be aligned with the session themes of the conference (high-throughput omics, spatial and live tissue omics, bioelectronics, and AI x Bio). All abstracts must be submitted by July 31; submissions received after this deadline will not be considered.
Accepted abstracts will be selected for poster presentation, and authors will be notified in mid-August. Additional details regarding submission format and presentation guidelines will be provided upon acceptance. All submitted abstracts are confidential. They will be reviewed internally and will not be made public or published in any proceedings.
We look forward to showcasing innovative research and fostering collaboration across the bioengineering community.
