We don’t pursue incremental gains. We seek the kind of foundational science that makes entirely new categories of medicine possible. Since 2015, our researchers and partners have contributed to more than 8,000 publications, all shared openly to accelerate understanding across the field.
Designing a new protein used to mean years of trial and error at the bench. Our teams are changing that math. With ESMFold2, ESMC, and ESM Atlas, three open tools now available to the research community, scientists can search through hundreds of thousands of possible protein designs computationally and validate the strongest candidates in days, not years. It’s already produced lab-confirmed binders against five different cancer and immune-system targets. This is what it looks like when engineers and biologists build side by side, in service of a cure.

Summer internships
Our summer internships are 10–12-week programs designed to give students a meaningful, real-world work experience that complements their academic learning and introduces them to a work environment. Internships span the full scope of our science roles, from wet lab and computational biology to engineering and data science, and we welcome interns at a variety of stages in their academic journey, from undergraduate to graduate and PhD students. After completing the program, interns are able to see the impact their work has had to help accelerate the progress in our work.
AI research internships
Biohub runs a year-round internship program for PhD students designed to advance frontier AI-powered biology while developing the next generation of scientific leaders in the field. Interns are embedded in active Biohub research efforts, working on open-ended problems at the intersection of large-scale biological data, advanced AI models, and scientific discovery.
