Mass Spectrometry Omics

Using mass spectrometry to understand inflammation and immune cell dysregulation at a molecular level

Data collection on the timsTOF Ultra 2 shows mass spectra on the bottom, ion mobility spectra on the left, and the combination of data types in the top right.

The Mass Spec Omics platform at Biohub leverages state-of-the-art mass spectrometry to investigate inflammation at both the tissue and cellular levels. Our mission is to deliver deep insights into the roles of proteins, metabolites, and post-translational modifications in chronic inflammatory diseases, with a focus on spatiotemporal resolution. We strive to generate translatable and actionable data that drive research initiatives across Biohub.

PROTEOMICS

We use proteomics to unravel complex protein expression, modifications, and interactions within native and instrumented tissues. High-throughput, data-rich insights reveal the complexities of inflammation, driving innovation and biological discoveries.

METABOLOMICS

Applying metabolomics to map the complex interplay of metabolites and biochemical pathways. Through comprehensive, high-resolution analysis, we uncover the subtle metabolic shifts linked to diseases of inflammation.
